What are man-in-the-middle attacks?

Insecure connections to a website can be exploited in public places such as cafes and airports. An attacker can intercept all passwords and use them to access web services.

MITM EN1

When a user accesses your website from an untrusted network (such as a public WiFi), any data transferred could be intercepted by cybercriminals. For example, usernames, passwords and payment details, could be intercepted.

Protecting yourself against man-in-the-middle attacks requires changes to your website that would normally be easily implemented by a computer scientist or developer (but would be difficult for a non-technical person to implement). These changes include adding communications encryption and other special security settings.

Please refer to the "Website Security" section of the platform to learn about your protection against man-in-the-middle attacks and send the technical report to your web developer to fix any vulnerabilities that are found.
